Another update
More words on Lillian.
It is... just about 8:00 PM and Lillian has had a compound fracture. Yes, that is the worst kind I know of that you can get. She has to have surgery. Tonight. Its gonna be a long night for lil sister.
Alright, to the topic at hand. I fully understand where you're coming from. Worship is not about us -- right. However, have you ever tried to run a church? The young people won't come to sing gospel anymore. Now, hear this.
They don't connect with gospel - contemporary music, for what it i s, is how they feel they best connect with God.
Are you saying that the Pilgrims should have never left England - that the Church of England was the mandated religion, and since it "wasn't about them" it didn't matter? :-O
Some people like the beat of c.c. music, feel more comfortable singing "Here I am to worship" than "Beulah land, sweet Beulah land," and like the "newfangled" sermon topics that apply to urban life.
But yes, they shouldn't have a problem worshipping in a gospel service.
I could go on for a while on the subject of worship, and especially music since I was myself interested in that topic recently. Would you care to hear about it? I'm sure Spectre has some idea of what I mean.
Poor Lillian. I have never broken anythng.
