Where to begin? How about with the carpet killing.
This was Tuesday night, that is Tuesday last week, a time that now seems oh so long ago, almost once upon a time...
The plan of the evening was that we (various and assorted scouts that came to our house for chemistry) would drive in Ross's 91 Ford Mustang convertible to the scout meeting and from there any Fearing scouts at the meeting would go with Ross to the "welcome home" party for Mary Watson (just got back from California, see "Maryincalfornia" link), and of course from there head home. That all worked out just fine, up to the point where we all went home and lived happily through the night and all. But changes in the plan took place, and my sisters ended up staying the night at the Watson house and I, hearing about Evan's plight (he had to have the carpet up out of the bathroom by 8 the next morning, and had only gotten about a third out...), took pity on him and figured, hey, I might as well go with him and help pull carpet. Mom and Mrs. Yerkes ironed out the details, of course. So somehow I found myself at their home using destructive tools to pull the carpet and staple whatsits holding the carpet down. The next morning was mostly spent by me messing around outside and inside.
Long enough? To be continued later...
*Saved as draft*
To continue
The big deal that I intend to post about is the trip that I was talking about earlier, and if you look at F.B.'s blog (Evelyn on the link), you will find the entire Fearing family in a long and drawn out post about one day. Naturally, I can never quite achieve that long description of just one day, but I can certainly tell you 'bout the rest of the trip.
day one
We left the house at about 2:30 after many different delays of many different types. The plan had been to leave at around 1, but.... The long seven-eight hour trip was without major incidence. It went like most long trips do, listen to radio, fall asleep, eat snacks, talk about random stuff, listen to CD's, fall asleep again, eat dinner, rather uneventful. There, that was the word I was looking for.
We got to the N's house at around, er, what time was it? 9-10 PM? Rather late. Went to bed after late talking and such.
day two
Um, I can't remember really doing anything worth mentioning.
I guess F.B. can probably fill in if she really wants more details.
day three
Sunday, of course, so we went to the RP church in Stillwater-did I mention we were staying with the N's in Stillwater OK? The crowd stayed for the first and second services. Did we go to the Chinese buffet on Saturday or Sunday, ern? Again, a rather uneventful evening, I suppose.
Monday, day four
Read f.b.'s blog.
Tuesday, day five
In my opinion, saddest day of the week. We "had the great privilege" of leaving Oklahoma for more Southern locations. We left at around 9 AM and got to Dallas maybe five hours later. Can't say much about what we did in Dallas, the details fail me.
Thursday
Left grandparents' house for Kristen Cargill's wedding around 2:00, give or take about twenty minutes. I don't care to give big major details on the wedding. From the wedding we came back home, late.
If you aren't satisfied with that thoroughly un-detailed description, tell me and I MAY someday fill in a little bit.
I'm getting a little tired of typing this post. What's wrong with me? :D
Edit:
I hope everyone had a merry Christmas!

December 20th
In honor of Evan's slow connection and "squeamish" complaints about how his link was unnoticably removed, I have added his link back to my page and was about to change the entire template and all that, but I figure I better not.
Some people reading this may later hear more about my adventures in Evan's house and pulling up carpet in the bathroom...
later
But for now, I am updating almost just for the sake of updating. If anyone has any questions, comments, ridiculous comments, or other, err, statements of err, fact... just put it into the comment box and I will get to you shortly.
Thanks for the email F.B.

A sign
Before I say anything else, I have to say this.
:)
I have switched to the beta version of Blogger.
hehe, hoho, haha, hohum, bigwhoop.
So like the title says, I have a sign. A sign to hang on the welcoming whatsit of this blog.
"GONE DEBATE RESEARCHING."
I'm sorry, people, but I just won't be getting any really serious long posts for a while, just consider this a token of my, er, uh, well, just download the file and have no more worries about endless hours checking blogs.
(I hope this is the right link...)

... And I'm gone.
I just got back from a speech and debate conference, see? And now I be going. I'm almost gone. I have somehow managed to hijack a computer in Dallas, but I don't have much time to say a lot.
So I'm going to Mexico on a mission trip. We're going to a small "colonius" or something, a place somewhere across the border from McAllen, to build houses and spread hope. And also get some merchandise off the local tiny places for a slightly increased price. :)
I have a, err, /profound/ observation from the big DAD to quote for you. F.B. might enjoy the strange quotes from her uncle.
Bubble bubble toil and trouble
How does your garden grow?
With cockle shells and pumpkin smells
All tied up in a five pound note.
:D from Dr. Fear.

I'm back here now
And yet somehow, I will be gone sometime soon, just Tuesday morning, on a trip to Mexico.
But the big thing from last week was the CFC conference that Johua Jones and I went to. Here is an excerpt from an email to my cousin. I don't want to spend a lot of time retyping it.
boy am i glad that it was NOT a tournmaent. i am NOT ready for a speech or deebate tournament, and it will take a wile to get ready. im gonna havta do an average of about an hour a day research on "Resolvd: that democracry is overvalud by the us govrnment." i do havto go to a turnament in january. *groan* i dont know if i even want to or not. i gues if it coms to that, mom says im going.
the confernce went well, as well as a Communicators for Christ conference normally goes, i gues, evn if ther wer more people ther than they wer used to. i spent most of wednesday thursday friday and saturday sitting and listeningto someone talk about spechifying or debating. they did hav a small competition thrusday afternoon. i did an interpratation and an impromtu. the interpratation was a small peace of something written by someone interpretied by me in som way. i spose i did ok in that. the impromtu is a limitd prep speech, i draw a subject from an envelope and have 2 minutes to prepare a max length 5 minut speechify. i can normally do prety ok, but i dont think that one really went. like "howd it go?" "it didnt go" i didnt do wel on that one.
i need to brek that big long paragraph. thursday night we did a group interpretation of robin hood, limited by time and preparation time. we got mayb max two hours to prep and the interp wasnt even much of the robin hod story. but oh wel, it went well.
saturday night i got to be in a "group debate", a sort of funny incomplete debate with a bunch of people. we got the resolution (it was a value debate--you know the difference between team policy and lincoln-douglass value, yes?) "that carrots should be valued over candy". i was on the affirmative and didnt do much except answer cross-examination questions. we only went through the 1NC anyways.
did any of that boggle you? it was ment to. :#D
is that... a bloody nose maybe?
And with a bloody nose and this small note, I will end this short post. I have made up my mind, I WILL DO IT!! Right this minute I will switch and not delay any longer! "Goodbye cruel world!" or something! Lets hear it for cliques used out of context!
A small conclusion dedicated to my friend Evan:
Evan, where did that happiness go? You decided to be happy, and it all disappeared. Where did it go?
P.S.
OH! I am so INSULTED! They go and tell me for a week or two that I should switch, and when I try to, they tell me to WAIT!! AARRGH!!

Debate and Blogging
If I believed in such, I would say "wish me luck", but since I don't I'm just gonna havta trust that God will bring me out of this without any "serious" problem.
I'm going to a speech and debate conference tomorrow. The conference doesn't actually start until Wednesday, I think, but we'll be there early. A five hour trip...
I don't know how many of you already know, but I was really discouraged by the debate tournament I went to last year. I don't think Mrs. Jones would like to hear such news, but I am getting stressed out by the idea of... well, I spose its mostly the preparation and all, or something. I'm not even sure myself.
(Now would be a really great time to get an eletter from F.B.)
Those Bloggers out there who have recently updated have not doubt gotten the same notification I did. The new version is ready. This new version should make many things more convenient, but also change the blogosphere forever. I say we do it. I already have my Google account, I don't really have to do much at all. What say you?

Another update
More words on Lillian.
It is... just about 8:00 PM and Lillian has had a compound fracture. Yes, that is the worst kind I know of that you can get. She has to have surgery. Tonight. Its gonna be a long night for lil sister.

Request for prayer
Its Lillian. You know, gimli, my little sister, biggest little sister, that person. She broke her arm falling off of a chair. She really isn't taking the pain very well, so pray that the pain would lessen a lot.
"This reminds me of a time back when..."
I can just imagine an old man saying something like that. Oh, Peter, you're so heartless, making jokes with your sister in pain. Tell me about it.

hey guys
Ok, I admit it, I am a little slow on the update. And I haven't seemed to do anything longer than - not very long. So here is a clipping from an email sent to F.B.
By the way, the mispellings are intentional. Its sort of a "tradition" in our emails.
chemistry was interesting, learning about the mole. no, not the smal fuzy thing that digs hols. the mole is a sort of shortcut for 6.02x10^23, like a couple is 2 and dozen is 12. it is best put this way. there are 6.02x10^23 atoms in 4.0 grams of Helium, and the atomic mass is 4.0. it doesnt make much sense yet, does it? chemistry is not my big spot.
and logarithms arent either. mom and i spent all day trying to figur out one problem that depended on the definition of a logarithm, and didnt figure it out until i loked at wat she had don and said "heres why its right, becase it is right". that was one werd problem, and yet so simple. like i said, it turnd out to be somethin rely simple that jus avoided me the whol time.
Hey! It took me half a second to write that all! ;-)
If you don't know, that was a short summary of Tuesday's not so well working stuf.
Tuesday actually did go rather well, to the extent that I got maybe 2/3s of the stuff done that I needed to. I normally end the day with plenty left to do tomorrow, but that Tuesday I had God's grace.
Wednesday went fine. Planned events happened, not much went on in the Bike Shop, I FINALLY FINISHED THE ESSAY!! :D
Anyways, this Thursday is going OK, not exceptional, I need to get to work. Bye, people.

Dinner
Recently overheard at the dinner table:
"Does every state have its own national bird?"
Yes, every state has its own bird, even if it isn't a national bird.
:)
This was funnier when coming from Annalee!

Jordan's deal
Today I saw a picture of Jordan. This is no ordinary picture, this is Jordan with long hair and a trenchcoat.
www.quirky1.blogspot.com
On a different, but still funny, matter, Annalee mined up another funny short. It involves a gopher and a lot of veggies, and the gopher getting sat on (!). Someone did a great job animating it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54MDTMP8fnk
watch about 5 seconds of credits. There is a little more.
If you find humor in paintball, look at what JCP has posted. As I said there, it is quite applicable to several people I know.
http://singdanceandplay.blogspot.com/2006/10/paintball-fun.html
Life continues. That is a fact. So I have some updates.
On Friday last, there was a great big teen pool party. Anyone in Nacogdoches should know, but for the benifit of the others, I can comment on it.
This was out at the Elliot place, a really big house owned by Mr. Elliot. Electric company or something. We pulled up in front of a seemingly average sized house, but in the back was a fully enclosed heated swimming pool, and a hot tub right inside the enclosure right near it. Such a pool party I have never seen. Not all the teens in the homeschool group were there, but it was loud and for the smallish pool, seemingly packed. All afternoon and into the early evening everbody was having a great old time. Half the time, either most of the guys or most of the girls were in the hot tub. Half the time half the people were in line for the diving board. funsies.
On Saturday Evan finally had his Eagle Scout service project. This was an original service project. The whole idea of the project was to restore the tee off locations of the Pecan Park frisbee golf course. So most of the poles had to be dug up, new ones painted and put in, maps be drawn and put on their own metal poles, the proper markings be put on the new posts (we had at least one situation where we marked a post with the wrong number--yeah, I'm to blame for that one) I'm not sure anything else though... The part of the project that the troop did was dealing with the tee posts. That should've gone quickly, but we got hung up in places and the job went from 8 AM to somewhere around 3 or 4 PM.
Any questions, comments? Maybe you should put some more info in those posts, Pete? Good.
Well, that wraps it up. I am still alive, Gus and Arwen. I still have things to say, F.B., even if it isn't a lot. I'm done.

something to say
So I have had a life for the past week or two, but you might not hear much about it. Thats fine with me, but here is a little bit of it.
Saturday last week, everyone except Dad went to the ATM vs. Missouri game. A&M won, of course. It was close though. Also on that weekend, we spent a long time in the car. From 7:30 to 10:20 we were eating and talking out at the Falcon 16 barbeque (if you don't know, Falcon 16 is the squadron Ross is in in the Corps of Cadets).
Wednesday Amanda (from chemistry on my sidebar) had a birthday party out at the Reese's house. Paintball. Thank you Amanda! Of course, Jesse gave me a really big bruise, as normal. I mean every time I play with him, I get something that really hurts. Oh well. I think I gave my share of large bruises.
Later that day after lunch, I had to leave the party for The Bike Shop. That was uneventful. Nothing hardly happened at all. I changed a coupla tires, swept up, started a repair job involving a chain, two tires, and two tubes, when Mom came around and took me home. Not much on that front.
School seems to be going OK for me. Chemistry is not very hard this time. Oh, I have a chemistry class at nine. I need to go now.

North-South and such
I think Shadow wanted to hear about this, and some others might be interested...
North-South and East-West. That was a small argument (the unheated type) that a few people had in the car on the way back from a debate tournament in, er, where was it agin, JCP? Anyways, JCP launched into a strange explanation of how there actually is a North-South direction or an East-West direction. Don't ask me to relate the opinions in the argument, I don't remember how JCP explained the existence of a North-South or how Evan so fervently argued against it. But JCP's explanation of NS and EW was interesting. Click the link at the top for JCPs post about it.

A couple more
Compare the two. On the top, a small fuzzball with eyes, a nose anda mouth. On the right is that other "You knit WHAT??". Everyone can plainly tell that the cat is very mad. Nice kitty, no, don't bite me!.
"What have I ever done to deserve this? I've been a faithful cat my entire life. Ok, there was that shoe incident, but that couldn't have been as humiliating to her, could it?"
Does anyone know about the Manah manah? Annalee and Mary and meslef (forget proper grammer) have been websurfing the "sesame street archives", or something very like it.
Manah Manah
Your opinions, please.
"The question is, what is a Manah manah?"
"The question is, WHO CARES?!"

Its October 9th - right?
Ok, so now I've tried to post this several times and it don't work. Maybe this time...
Now playing, or rather was playing, Pachelbel's Canon in D, played on an electric guitar. See here now.
Enjoy, and make sure its loud. :)
Ok. Now is playing Newsboys. Don't bother with track. It will be finished before I can finish this post.
Nice Pete, but what about a real update, for those who might have the slightest interest in your life?
About two thirty on Friday, Andrew, Dad, and myself (oh, forget grammar and all that) left the house headed for Regents Academy. Regents is where Boy Scout Troop 342 has all its meetings and has a storage hut in the back. So every good campout should start there. From there, the troop headed out to the Trail Between the Lakes, a trail going between... oh, those two lakes to the East of us. I'll have a map link in a minute. Their server is awfully slow right now. Well, anyway, We started at the West end of the trail and headed East about 16 miles. In the first evening when we got their, we hiked about one and a half miles and made camp. At this campsite, Jesse and Nick got a campfire ceremony (big woop) in without a campfire or any real procedure. Dinner and sleep and breakfast and then we broke up camp and hiked close to ten or maybe a couple more the next day. The trail was interesting in the sense that whenever it wasn't road, we were mostly following the marks and making our own trail. This post doesn't have much structure, does it? Just go on and on.... The campfire, um, hour or two that Josh and I planned had more organization, but it was mostly that I read off Computer Stupidities and then various spookers told scary stories. An armadillo came through camp right in the middle of one of those stories. A very important factor in the stories, unmentioned until now, was that we camped right near the Jones Cemetery. :D
New line.
Caleb posted some pictures of that trip. He's Cada on my sidebar.
Sunday morning we packed up and hiked another 1-2 miles to the road. We did not actually go to the end of the trail because that was 28 miles and we didn't have time. We sat around at the trailhead or trailmid and entertained ourselves with many things (pine cone wars) while we waited for Mr. Jones to come pick up the gear. The Suburban can carry people, but not equipment. The group got back at almost exactly one of the clock. Every parent should have been there, but some were delayed (you know who you are!) and some of us had to wait while the rides got there.
If you didn't catch it before, that was a Double H shakedown trip--essentially a training trip for the 2007 trip. Again, check out the pictures on Cada's blog.
and the link is coming up...
This is actually a link from a website about the trail. The trail is between Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn reservoirs.

I went to a lot of effort on this post--enjoy, or else!

Hello there, handsome.
That little cat, Shayfur.
Actually, that is the pitcher that I intend to use on my profile. I had another one in mind, but it just didn't work out, so this one works.

October 5th
Here I be. I be me and no one can change that. :)
Ok. So Andrew finally got right up to Makaan and is getting ready to defeat the big bad one and take the third core. Big woop.
Things are hectic, as normal. I have a paper to write (uhoh. its overdue!!), I have to pack for the hiking trip that we leave for tomorrow afternoon, get me chores and piano and such stuf done, make sure I stay alive, get chemistry uptodate, other small insignificant little jobs and things to be done, and of course little stuff here and there that will keep me busy all day. Oh! And also I need to get ANNALEE a BIRTHDAY PRESENT. Her BIRTHDAY is on SUNDAY, the 8TH.
I could tell you all about yesterday, but I think I'll just tell you the interesting part. I went to the Bike Shop (volunteer work, once a week on Wednesday) and guess who is starting to hire more workers? I mean, just from one week to the next, the boss (I think) has hired two or three new guys. I got to replace a bent rim, try to replace another bent rim that wasn't bent, and the tube that went with it, I think maybe I stood around waiting for something to do, um. I brought a box in at one point and loaded a shelf with tubes. Not the funnest job, but not hard. Ok, I told you, ask questions if you want.
Mrs. Rita is sitting behind me reading to the goyles. The girls havta listen to or read a whole buncha reading books. This takes a while, so they take two or three hours a day two or three days a week. Not much there.
Greek alphabet got 24 letters no punctuation or spaces.
"Poetry?"
"math?"
"Mondy mornin? Muxic!"
"kkhhh!"
This concludes this short post. My comment box is open to any comments questions, or other such stuff, considering the commentor shows restraint in certain circumstances (no really weird comments, please)

scouts, maybe?
I just don't get it. How do you long time bloggers come up with some sort of good title, or even a good first sentence? Anyone got any ideas where the ideas come from?
So yeaahh, if you don't already know, we had a Boy Scout meeting tonight (just got back, ya know), it seemed to go alright, the typical things were gone over, upcoming events, some sort of presentation from the ASPL (Assistant Senior Patrol Leader) about some sort of Tenderfeet reqwuirements, tha sort of stuf. We did have something added this time. Instead of playing football, we played soccer!
We got a Double H (HH) shakedown comin up this weekend, had to do a little bit of cleaning and organizing, basically gettin the gear together. Jesse and Nickie have come up with some strange meal plan for the large group that is going (it may have something to do with MREs--Nick?). They also have a great big campfire sort of plan goin on. Mostly jokes and mebbe a skit or two. But the next night (when everyone is out of jokes), Steffen and "my glorious self" (steffen would love to say something like that--we're talking carrilo, steffen) get to plan another campfire sort of something. I will be ready, just in case no one has any more jokes or short skits. I am printing off [technical support] stories! gasp!! (I don't want my source out until after the fact :)
oh, hey guys, I gotta write some sorta paper thingie and turn it in before 11:59 and 59 seconds tomrrow night. I gotta get workin. so fer now, nothin intresting from my corney of the world. I think I'll go try that blog monitor... (ask Shadow)

Still alive. Thats that.
Ello, Hi, Ih, Yo, Checkin in. If you want anything long out of me, you'll have to wait till later. I have things to do in a minute.
Done my Chemistry test, even if I did get done at 10 last night. As far as I know, I got it perfect, but thats only what I know. I haven't checked it yet.
Like I said, this isn't long. I have things to do. I just spent maybe thrity minutes on that sidebar, and don't want to spend thirty more minutes on anything but school for now. So for now, farewell ye people of the world.

UPDATE?!?!
WHY ON EARTH WOULD I UPDATE??
By the way, that's sarcasm.
Ok, Ok, you got me, I have to update. But I will warn you, that means less time for reading the other blogs, yours. If I had a faster connection to work off of...
This is going to be a week with more sleep than normal. I'm out in the middle of nowhere (a small place called Douglass :) spending the week with the Watsons. Maryincalifornia knows of this, and maybe a few others. This does not mean that I don't have normally scheduled schoolwork, homework, homeschoolwork, whatever you wish. Algebra II goes on as hard as ever, finding the equation of a quadratic function using only a coupla points from the graph. Ok, three points from the graph. That took up mosta my morning. Then I got to read and answer questions from that funy book, the Starting Points book. Several people have knowledge of this already (is Joy around?). I have to work out something with someone about Spanish. Chemistry is... so-so. I have a test to take and 6 problems to finish by the end of the week. Oh, and a couple extra problems with that significant figure worksheet.
Anyone wanna hear bout a party? Don't bother, unless your a girl under about an average of 11. The girls have got a small party planned out here sometime this week. I get to stay upstairs and play Nintendo (we're talking the original Nintendo here) or something. It don't sound too exciting yet. "Peter, we might bring you a cookie or something."
F.B., don't expect me to write long winding posts yet. I'm knew to this. As for now, I can't rrreallyyy thhinkk of anyything eeellllssseee...
Nope. I'm done. Thanks for the comments, guys, girls and anything in between. *cough cough* *hem hem* *ahem* or however you put it. Lata. Oh, does Jordan'sbigdeal have "Lata" copyright yet?

Greetins...
Hello Hello, sure sure, this is my frist post and all, but I don't expect it to be perfect or anything, but just long enough and just short enough and just right to tell you that unless I can do sometin bout it, I won't post much fer the next week or so. I'm sure most of the people seeing this blog will know me as I am, that strange person calling himself "spectre" or "petr" (or in some cases known as petra... daisy :). I may have some interesting comments over the next few days or so, considering I'm probly gonna tell everyone I normally check up on. There are, of course, those strange people (as the OK people see them) from my local area, and there are those strange people (as anyone in Texas can plainly see - you can tell I'm slightly biased :) in the circle of friends from Oklahoma.
Please get along, I don't want any strange comments. I'm sure you've all had your share of that stuff, and don't want any.
Well, here begins the real stuff. As for comins and goins, Ross was here briefly for an Eagle Court of Honor (by the way, that was good, cada), and will leave tommorow. The rest of it, if you don't know, you probly don't need to. :)
Here ends the first post, mabye. Cada, next time I see you, could you maybe possibly help me with the template? It doesn't like me.
Ok, as of now, it won't let me edit anything important to me right now. I'll be back lata.
